I’ve been thinking about doing this for a while, but haven’t pulled the trigger because “mom blogging” is super niche. And not my thing. But, I do have a lot of fun dressing my kids. While I can’t justify a big wardrobe haul for myself every season (wouldn’t that be awesome), I actually have to get a big haul for my kids because they just keep growing!
I try to buy really fun things for my kids so that they can really feel like kids. While I tend to go more “safe” for myself, nothing is off the table for them. Clips, layers of necklaces, colored socks, glitter shoes, wild colors, print mixing. I am here for it all.
1. Leopard jacket, matching skirt 2. Blouse 3. Personalized necklace 4. Corduroy dress 5. Glitter clogs 6. Socks 7. NYC sweatshirt 8. Barrel jeans 9. Strawberry PJs
For the girls in your life! I like to get a big assortment of things that mix and match really well together. I stick within the same color palette so that when I’m dressing my gal, I have a lot of options to play with. That blouse goes under the dress or with the barrel leg jeans (which we own, and they are INSANELY CUTE). The clogs go with all of it and are way more fun than a little suede shoe. I buy lots of necklaces (like these) so we can just layer em up.
Also, you need to know that the leopard jacket has a matching mini skirt!!!!
1. Denim shirt 2. Sporty tee 3. Jersey 4. Sneakers 5. Socks 6. Camo pants 7. Flannel 8. Straight leg jeans 9. Hat 10. PJs
A lot of people say dressing boys is tough, and while I get the sentiment, I actually love it. The key (to me) for boys is layers! William wears those camo pants more than anything. We put the jersey with them for summer, and as temps cool we’ll do a tee and that denim shirt open over it. I got that little letter hat for him, and it’s the absolute cutest.
I also have to plug the pajamas (the girl and boy PJs are the same brand!). I have tried every brand, and these are by far my favorite. The best prints, fun colors, great material that holds up so well! I love a bargain for my kids, but I will buy these forever.
1. Black dress 2. Flip flops 3. Sunglasses 4. Striped sweater 5. Easy shorts 6. Tank dress 7. Striped shirt 8. Tote 9. Drawstring denim 10. Cardigan 11. Sneakers 12. T-shirt dress
And for mom! Or for the non-mom! If you’re on-the-go, this is for you. I really hate having a closet full of cute things but wearing leggings everyday. These items are all cool enough to wear without your kids, but they aren’t too precious. I really love this roundup so I’m gonna break it down below.
THE dress that I keep yapping about. It’s made of nylon, so toddler juice or snacks or whatever will just roll off of it. It’s casual, it’s cool, and I still haven’t bought it but I’m about to.
Flip flops are in, and they’re practical. Mine are Old Navy, but I love the square toe on these.
The coolest mom sunglasses for those no-makeup mornings / days.
A perfect cotton sweater! Make sure you get 100% cotton because it will hold up much better. Gap has so many good ones.
These shorts are comfy, easy, and they are more elevated than your running shorts (but with the elastic waistband! win!).
This dress is one of my best purchases. I wear it at least once a week when I’m doing kid stuff.
This shirt! Y’all know I like a quality piece, and quality fabric. Steve laughed at me the other day and said “from Doen to Old Navy” and my response was this: yes I like to buy really quality pieces, but also, I have to have some stuff that isn’t precious. These shirts are 100% cotton and in a super timeless style - such a smart purchase!
Can’t go wrong with a tote like this. I would get it monogrammed too.
I own these jeans, and I wear the heck out of them because they don’t feel like denim. They have a super wide leg, drapey denim fabric, and they are so flattering.
Gotta have a cozy sweater to throw over all of it.
I wanted to gate keep these sneakers but I’m being kind and sharing.
I really like this t-shirt dress. It’s one of those versatile pieces you could style up (like the image above), or style down with the cardigan and flip flops.
And that’s it! You can shop everything in one spot HERE for the kids and HERE for the adults.
