Hi guys! I’m just back from a much-needed family vacation. We always tell our team members at Ranger Station to take the time for adventure and self-care throughout the year because life is about the memories we make, not the work that we do. So Steve and I took a piece of our own advice and took the kids down to the beach for a few days.
Sometimes we take trips that involve lots of exploring, but this one was the exact opposite. I packed lots of cute outfits and the only things any of us wore were bathing suits, pajamas, and undies. We grabbed coffees in the morning and ice cream at night in our swimsuits, and ate all of our meals poolside. Truly, bliss.
I packed pretty last minute for this trip and was nervous I’d mess things up, but this was one of those trips where I felt like I finally nailed down my beach essentials. If you’re traveling this summer, or planning to be outside for the 4th, here are some things that made my time comfortable and easy.
1. Mineral Tinted Sunscreen 2. Reusable Tote 3. Canvas Hat 4. Sunscreen 5. Flip Flops 6. Sunglasses borrowed from Steve 7. Air Dry Bundle 8. Actually Good Mocktails!! 9. Linen Shirt 10. Body Balm 11. Nail Polish
This hat is the best money I’ve spent in a long time! The shape is perfect and chic and the SPF protection helps a lot.
I started using the Air Dry Set and I left the beach with softer hair than I came with!!! I LOVE.
Yes I still own Rainbow Sandals from high school, and I saw them everywhere at the beach! I grabbed them on the way out of the house looking for easy, non-fussy sandals, and they were the only shoes I wore.
I don’t miss evening cocktails thanks to these spritzes.
One thing I forgot to add to the graphic above that was maybe the most helpful for a roadtrip? NOISE CANCELLING HEADPHONES. A gift from God himself. They are the comfiest I’ve tried — I’m a Bose gal forever!
Oh, and if I were going for a swimsuit right now… My very favorite swim brand Left on Friday just partnered with Loeffler Randall on a collection! Which means I’m going to buy a swimsuit at 7 months pregnant. I’m going for this suit (which can also be worn as a body suit) and these jellies!
The perfect leopard suit that’s very mom-friendly.
Hope this roundup is helpful wherever this summer may take you!
xx
