Y’all! This has been a busy month. We had one million back-to-school events, we’ve got soccer practice, work is ramping up for the h*lidays, and we went to see family in Knoxville. Here’s what I’ve been wearing.
Dress, Necklace, Flats (similar - mine are sold out from Zara)
You’ve probably seen this dress in my round ups before. I really love it for travel or “mom” things when I want to look put together, but also be very comfy. Here I’m wearing it to the office styled up a little more! The necklace adds some fun to the fit, and the shoes keep it current and cool.
Top, Shorts (similar), Necklace (similar), Bag (similar)
Wow I love this outfit. Steve and I recorded a podcast with our business coach, so I wanted to look business-y but still like myself. I had been eyeing this button down for months, and finally snagged it during the Doen warehouse sale (the quality is 10/10 and I LOVE the wild colors that will carry me into fall!). I layered the shirt over a white tank (just like I did in middle school), and softened the look up with a slouchy bag.
Dress, Some favorite hats here, here, and here
My favorite mom outfit. I wore this dress to the park with the kids, on a road trip to Knoxville, and on a Saturday for errands. The cut and material is so good! I often wear hats when I’m with my kids because we play outside all of the time, and this dress works well with just about any hat in my closet.
Linen set (similar shorts and top), Necklace, Sandals (similar)
I found this set in my closet from my days at Able, and funny enough, I think it is even more relevant and cool now than it was when we made it. I like that the top has more interest than a normal button down does - it feels a little more special. The necklace and darker shoes ground this look, and keep it the linen from feeling beachy.
Dress (more affordable alts here and here), Sandals
Prom pose outside of my mom’s house before my HIGH SCHOOL REUNION. I loved the people I went to high school with, and you better believe we went to the reunion and had the best time. If you know my husband, you know that he had even more fun than me, and multiple people thought he was the one who graduated from my high school because he talked to so many people. Steve, you are epic.
Anyways - I wore this slip dress that I also got from the Doen warehouse sale. A lot of slip dresses are more clingy, but this one has some subtle volume in the skirt so it is incredibly flattering. It’s also made of silk, not the fake stuff, and I will love it forever.
Lots of outfits in this roundup, y’all! I am challenging myself to dig deeper in my closet instead of buying things. I’ve owned this skirt and top for an embarrassing amount of time, but they felt light and fresh for a hot summer day in the office.
Shirt, Pants, Flats (I would suggest a more quality version like this! So worth the extra few dollars.)
Last but absolutely not least, I styled two of my favorite items in my closet together. Blues and leopards are both fairly neutral, so this just works. The brown flats looked so much better with this than any other color (black made it feel really harsh).
And there you go! Have a great weekend.
xx,
Jordan
