Hi there!
Last week, Steve and I went to a fundraising event for LIM College at Todd Snyder’s flagship store in Rockefeller Plaza. LIM is a fashion college, and I met so many alumni who have lived their entire lives in Manhattan and immersed themselves in fashion, merchandising, art, and business. Most were in their 70s and dressed to the nines. Not overdone, just considered pieces and a few strong accessories. I want to be exactly like them when I grow up.
I’m a couple of weeks into my big city stint and it never ceases to amaze me how inspired I am in New York City. The conversation, the food, the shops, the people — everybody brings their A-game.
As I’ve been exploring the city, I’ve been trying lots of new things and while many were flops, here are a few of my favorites.
Block Printed Set
I wore the pants in this set in some promo photos for Ranger Station and got a million questions. YES, they are actual pajamas that work very well for real life. The set is one size with an adjustable waistband. It’s light and nice for summer, and the little details kind of shocked me — mother of pearl buttons and a little texture around the hem. 10/10 recommend! Printed Set
Farm Rio Dress
Prior to the event at Todd Snyder’s store, I ran around like a mad woman trying to find something that would accommodate my bump and get lots of wear. I tried on no less than 50 dresses that day (it was kinda just for fun), and the moment I put this one on, I knew. I actually wore it out of the store, and I got complements on it every stop I made after!
The fabric has a beautiful sheen, there’s a little embroidery detail, and the sleeves just make it! The perfect dress for spring-summer events. Farm Rio Dress
Remedy Rich Cream
Unpopular opinion, but I tried iNNBEAUTY’s Extreme Cream and I despised it (it made my face breakout every time I used it). I’ve been looking for a richer moisturizer that wouldn’t clog my pores, and this one is a winner. Formulated by dermatologists with clean ingredients that firm, moisturize, and repair skin barrier, this is my go-to. Remedy Rich Cream
Diamond Tennis Bracelet
A tennis bracelet is the epitome of chic to me. I’ve always wanted one, and I can confirm that it immediately levels up the most mundane of outfits. This one is sustainably made using lab-grown diamonds. Tennis bracelet, 20% off w/ code JORDANS20
Sam Edelman Sandals
After I bought the dress up top, I needed some shoes to go with it that weren’t sneakers or heels. I saw these sandals and was reminded how well-priced and quality they are! They are classics that come in every color, but the pop of yellow feels right. Sandals, $60
Also. Once I arrived at the fundraiser in my new dress and sandals, Steve told me that they were honoring Sam Edelman that night — what are the chances!? I met him and his wife Libby, they loved my sandals and I loved talking with two industry heroes who are balancing work, family, travel, and relationships just like I am. True icons!
Polo Ralph Lauren Sweatshirt
When I was growing up, my mom had one of these sweatshirts and she’d wear it with denim or with her workout gear. After I moved out of the house, I would always “borrow” it when I would come in town. It’s a classic that she’s had for 20 years easily, and it’s still in her closet, looking just as good. This and some denim cut offs? You’re good to go for cool summer nights. Crewneck sweatshirt, $148
Okay! That’s it from me. Let me know if you’ve found anything you’re loving lately! I’d love to see.
xx
