This week, it went from frigid cold to 70 degrees, and it was like our entire neighborhood came back to life. The sun was shining bright and everyone was out strolling, catching up with neighbors, playing in their front yards. It was truly dreamy. And the next day I opened the door to dreary, drizzly cold. It feels a bit like whiplash.
I start to get a little antsy around this time of year. I’ve done my part in hibernating and being cozy by the fire. I can’t do the dark and drab winter colors anymore. I need some signs of life.
What I’ve worn in the past week — honestly, good outfits. But look at the colors. I’m bored!
One thing I start to do with my wardrobe this time of year is bring in layer in some strong pops of color to cheer up my winter trousers.
SHOP IT ALL HERE
Look how yummy! Just swapping in a few of these pieces will change your winter outlook, guaranteed.
I just purchased these navy + white trousers - they are so good. I plan to wear them in place of my black trousers for the rest of the winter months, and then with a tank + sandals in the summer months.
Sweater, Tee (the perfect layering tee!), Sunglasses, Necklace, Trousers, Leopard Bag, Sneakers
My high school self would be so happy that pink is back in a big way. I always like to throw in elements that keep the color from feeling too sweet, like the studded flats and a bold bag.
Pink Sweater, Tee, Belt, Denim, Tote, Studded Flats
Oooof I really love an all blue outfit. It’s bold, but so easy to wear if you tend to be more color averse. The sweater is a hero product that you will wear weekdays and weekends. I’d layer it over the shoulders in this look (and I’d also pair it with the navy + white pants up top!).
Button Down, Sweater, Coin Necklace, Sunglasses (I have and I love), Denim, Suede Tote, Flats
I have all of the above and more in my February edit HERE.
And there we have it! Hope this adds some color/joy/hope for your dreary February day. Drop a <3 or leave a comment and let me know how you’re brightening up the winter months.
xx
