Hi everyone! I sincerely try to get this newsletter out weekly, but over the past month, life has been lifing (in the best way). I’ve spent time painting with my family, nursing sick kids, playing outside, working in our yard, talking to our neighbors who are emerging with the warmer temps, and celebrating the birthdays of a few dear friends.
It has been life-giving, and I’m feeling a spark of hope and creativity and whimsy as we enter into the long-awaited springtime.
My March energy (all images from my Pinterest).
As usual, I’ve gathered some goooood shopping finds for the month HERE.
And then, a wild roundup of things that I’ve been loving for spring.
THE PANTS HEARD ROUND (MY CORNER OF) THE INTERNET
Listen. These are really good pants. You will wear them constantly to work out, run errands, go to the office… they are actually appropriate for every occasion. I get compliments every time I wear them, and thank yous from friends after they purchase them. Size down one size! Barrel pants, $40
THE SET THAT MAKES ME FEEL LIKE A REAL ARTIST
I had this watercolor set on my holiday gift guides, and bought it for myself for Christmas. I’ve been so intimidated to start because I don’t know watercolor at all, but I gave it a try this afternoon and I am obsessed. The painting is lightly sketched out so you can fill it in, and each page has little instructions to help you get it just right. Should I frame that lavender or what!? Watercolor set, $38
MY NEW FAVORITE DRY SHAMPOO
I’ve used the same dry shampoo for years, but when I tried this, I was genuinely impressed. I loooved the fresh smell (and the fact that it didn’t follow me around like a cloud). But I really love the way it kept my hair fresh for a full day extra! I could’ve gone longer. This stuff is a time saver, and I’m definitely re-buying. Dry Shampoo, $26
A COMFY OUTFIT FOR WORK
This outfit consists of staples in my wardrobe — a vintage denim shirt that I’ve had for 10 years (this is it!), a good ribbed tank for layering, and my go-to pants that look nice for work but feel like pajamas (they’re a real life hack!).
A SWEATER TIED AROUND MY WAIST
I love throwing a sweater over my shoulders for texture, but sometimes I feel too preppy or fussy doing that. Instead, I’ve been pulling a card from The Row and tying shirts and sweaters around my waist. I thought I’d feel sloppy, but I kinda dig it!? It definitely feels fresh with oversized denim and mary janes that sweeten up the look a tiny bit. You can make this happen with things in your closet. Try it!!
(Denim, Button down, Mary Janes are old Doen, Similar sweater on big sale!)
Okay! That’s it for now. I’ll be back so soon with a very good round up of things I’m eyeing/buying for Spring! I can’t wait to share it all.
xx
