For those of you anxiously awaiting the results of my sweatsuit hunt, I tried the expensive red one and didn’t think it was worth the money. But let me tell you - this top + wide leg pant combo is IT. I whispered “YES!” out loud when I tried it on in the store (embarrassing) and I’m wearing it as I type.
Onwards to October! Midway through the month, and we are finally getting our first crisp days. Which immediately leads me to this mood —
Martinis, pasta bows, stacks and stacks of magazines. AKA HEAVEN?
I feel this innate need to make myself cozy as the temperatures start getting crisp. That means spending the evening with a glass of wine and a stack of magazines, sharing big bowls of pasta with friends at our Sunday supper, or taking my morning walk while wrapped in a big cozy sweater (this one is superior).
My favorite October finds
Fur Jacket - This jacket is so luxe looking! The brown color + the black leather trim makes it work with truly anything. And I like throwing this over more laidback looks although you can totally pop it over your shoulders during holiday party season, which begins next month.
Heart Earrings - I am gravitating more towards silver jewelry as I’m wearing this season’s chocolate browns. These earrings are an outfit maker, and the silver keeps them from reading sweet.
Merlot Tote - I think about this bag more than I care to admit. It’s deceptively accommodating (a laptop will fit in it!), the strap converts to a crossbody, and the smooth leather gives it that perfect polish that will pull your looks together. It also comes in black and brown, but I find that adding a merlot is more unexpected (and it goes with more than you’d think)! Hope Santa sees this!
Denim - This is the perfect way to dip your toe into a barrel leg denim shape. If I were to buy one pair of denim this season, it’d be these.
Ribbed Top - A perfect base layer with a ribbed texture that will give your outfit a little boost.
Socks - I saw someone wear a neutral outfit with moss green socks peeking out and I haven’t stopped thinking about it! These would make a great gift too.
Belt - Think of belts as jewelry! It will add texture and polish to the easiest of looks (my everyday jeans and tee).
Loafers - A very classic loafer, and a very comfy fit. I love the sheen on the leather! I will wear these with comfy sweats and a trench, or with jeans and a cozy sweater… You can’t go wrong finishing your outfit with loafers.
And there we go! October’s edit is basically just my wishlist. But I hope you find something you love.
xx
